“Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.” – Job 13:15
We all face pain and trials in life, and if we’re not careful, those hardships can lead to bitterness or anger toward God. Yet Job chose a different response. Though he suffered deeply, he continued to trust in God’s sovereignty, believing that the Lord was at work even through the pain. When we choose to trust God with our hurts and remain faithful in obedience, He uses our trials to shape us more into the image of Christ. In time, we begin to see that His purposes are good—even in the midst of suffering.
