King Saul had all the qualities of a perfect king, yet inwardly his heart was corrupt. David also appeared qualified outwardly, but that was not the reason God chose him. God rejected Saul and accepted David because Saul’s heart was wicked, while David was a man after God’s own heart. When the Lord looks at your heart, what does He see?
