This June, join us for a Bible Translation Seminar titled “Why the KJV?”, taught by Pastor Joe Shakour.
This seminar will explore the history of the Bible, its preservation through the centuries, and the reasons behind the use of the King James Version. It will be an informative and engaging time, designed to help attendees better understand where the Bible comes from and gain clarity on the subject of Bible translation.
Sessions will be held on Friday, June 26 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, June 27 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Seminar Speaker
Joe Shakour
Pastor Shakour served as Youth Director and later as Assistant Pastor of Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College before being called to pastor the people of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Wilson, NC, in February 2011. He has completed a Certificate in Christian Counseling, a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies/Biblical Languages, a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Leadership, and a Doctorate of Theology. He is a certified recovery coach and serves as a board member of the Wilson County Department of Social Services. Pastor Shakour is also adjunct faculty at West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, CA, and frequently speaks at youth camps, conferences, and revival meetings across the country.
He is a passionate Bible preacher, committed to Spirit-filled expositional preaching. Together with his wife and seven children, Pastor Shakour strives to love and lead a church for the glory of God!
