Missions and Stewardship

Cables are used to support bridges and to lift great weights with cranes. They are not solid but braided strands of many smaller steel wires. Ecclesiastes says a 3-fold cord is not quickly broken.

“And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecc. 4:12

Chokers are braided cables with a loop on each end used to wrap pipe and beams for the cranes to lift. The iron workers know where to place the cables to get a balanced lift. Small cables lifting thousands of pounds because of many small wires braided together.  God’s work is not dependent upon one or even several large givers but upon many smaller gifts given to work together to accomplish a great need. The support of our church, all its members, and Missions to the world.

Once in a while someone gives a large gift to the building fund or to missions but the budget is planned by the collective amount of the giving of God’s people.

Each tithe or gift is a strand of the braided cable that can accomplish a great amount.

You are helping lift the load for the work of the ministry by your regular faithful giving. Together we can do what needs to be done. Together we are a 3-fold cord that is not quickly broken.

Nobody can do everything but everybody can do something.
If we all do something everything will get done.
In Christ,
Pastor
