Our Christmas Post Office

For many years we have operated our own “post office” at Bible Baptist Church during the Christmas season. It has allowed us to do two things: support some worthy children’s homes and help our church family.

The concept is simple. Rather than buying US postage stamps to mail Christmas cards to one another, make a $25 donation that goes entirely to two children’s homes and the church “delivers” those cards to the church family. We provide a list of all those who attend our services so that you can send a greeting to any or all of them. We don’t actually mail cards. We use the “post office boxes” that you will find on the table in the back of the auditorium to distribute them.

Drop your donation into the smaller box on the table, and your cards into the larger box. Our “postal workers” will get them sorted for you. Then, each week between now and Christmas, be sure to check the box with the initial of your last name for the cards that others have sent to you.

By the way, if you see a name or two on the list that you don’t recognize be sure to find out who they are and get acquainted! We thank the Lord for our growing church family and it’s important that we know and pray for one another.

Merry Christmas!
