Winter is a time for trees to draw all their sap in and stop producing leaves and flowers. Even Jesus withdrew from the people for seasons of prayer and meditation and rest. Cold kills off some unwanted things like mosquito’s, bugs and ants must go deep to survive. Fire ants have adapted and can store body fat and survive and return next Spring. 
Lord help us to draw in what we need for growth and new life this Spring and may we be as industrious a fire ants to spread the good news of Christ.
